OK guys, I went to put my truck in reverse this morning, heard something snap inside the steering column, and now I can't get it out of park. The column lever moves somewhat, maybe just past reverse or so, but nothing happens at the tranny. I figured the cable must be have snapped, and I tried to move the shift lever manually on the side of the transmission and it wouldn't budge. Is there something on the steering column that could have broken? Any ideas/input before I take this apart tonight?

Thanks

I dont think the tranny is shifted by a cable the 92 I scrapped was still shifted by a rod . Kinda sounds like you may have broken part of your key switch the part that locks the shifter but Im thinking youll just have to tear it apart to be sure . :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
