tip #1. put the top on level ground if it's gonna stay off for a while. if you sit it on an uneven surface it will warp rather easily and be a beyatch to put back on

tip #2. leave about half of the bolts that run down the side out. this will make it easier to install and take off next time.

tip #3. once you take it off, you won't want to put it back on the rest of the summer......so buy a cheap tarp and cover it at night time. the dew will take it's toll on upholstery and leave you with the mildew smell that carries on into winter time.

tip #4. When you take off the moulding you will see that there are little clips that the moulding is screwed into. The clips are different for the left and right sides, also the holes that are drilled into them for the moulding screws may be in slightly different locations, therefore for ease of reinstallation, it would be best to mark or otherwise label them so that you can put them back in the same places that they came from.

great tips..I plan on taking mine off here shortly...in reality, how long does it take to put it back on after it comes off...

I plan on labeling all the parts as they come off so hopefully that makes the re-install a breeze...

also, if there is going to be a string of nice days, instead of taking the top on and off every day, do you guys just throw a big tarp or blanket over the interior to cover it over night?? My Bronco sits outside and I don't want to ruin the interior, but I don't want to hassle with the top every night if I don't ahve to....thanks...

No need just keep it wipped down every so often...the silicone in it will repel the moisture and help keep it soft...the weatherstrip on the front of the top is glued on or has adhesive backing... you don't want to mess with that one... B)

Romad I would love to see some pictures of the installation of the new top and how you thought the install went.
