> I got some seat covers for another vehicle at www.cabelas.com. They're the big hunting/fishing outfitter. You might also try the Walmart and Sam's club websites. I got sheepskin seatcovers at a Sam's Club for one of our cars for like $29 for each bucket seat. The things are easily as good as the previous pair that I bought for $249. The cheaper ones go on and stay on better. They had great heavy-duty rubber floor mats at Sam's too, and very cheap, as well as big sets of decent quality mechanic's wrenches, plus cheap tool chests on wheels.

You can also check the local upholstery shops, if you want a custom fabric on the seats. I had my headliner done and it looks like a new factory one. A friend of mine has some of the waterproof nylon fitted seat covers from a place called Marathon seat covers, Inc. that you can get in a camo pattern. They look really good. The website is www.marathonseatcovers.com, 1-800-735-2769

Excuse my little hijack here. I looked at that marathonseatcovers site.

they do the same thing every other place does, they show the seats that look like mune, but say it's for 80-86. I asked at Bronco Graveyard and they just gave the "if that's what it says, that's what it is" type of response.

Are the bucket seats in an 80-86 the same as an 88? They're the neckbreakers like these:

Are your 88 seats the same as mine? (See gallery). If they're the highback style that's square on top, they're the same. My 88 Bronco has the old lowback vinyl seats. I have a pic somewhere of some cheap Saddleman-type covers I bought at AutoZone for $20 on sale. I might be willing to sell those, since I have new PRP racing seats.

They're the lowback seats that come to about shoulder height.

They look identical to this illustration that they say are for 80-86:

I've looked everywhere just for seat covers, but nowhere carries lowbacks around here. I really don't care for covers, but since I sliced my hand open on the cracked vinyl it's become a priority.

Then the 88 seats are the same as the listed 80-86. Lowback, vinyl, with a hard plastic back. Try looking for a cover for the lowback Jeep seats. Heresy, I know, but you may have better luck that way, and the size is very close. If the seat frame is in good shape, I think an uph. shop will recover them both for under $100.
