I heard about this product called seafoam. This stuff is supposed to clean out just about every part of your engine. You put this stuff in your gas tank and in your oil, and let your rig run for about half an hour and it's supposed to clean her out. Anyways I was wondering if anyones tried it or where you can pick this stuff up at?

I used it a few times. It's good stuff. It also works great on rusted bolts. Nevr tried it in the gas or oil, but I've heard good things about it that way too.

Start the car, slowly pour about half a can in your brake booster line, then just dump it in as fast as you can until the motor dies. Let it sit for about 10 mintes, and start her back up. It will smoke like mad, but it will clean out all the built up funk.

A word of advice though. Call the FD and let them know. There's a good chance your neighbors may call reporting a fire.

Advance auto carries it, and carquest. I'd imagine most places do, but those are the two I know of.

You mean like the catalytic perverter, etc? I wonder if I can find any of this stuff around here....sounds like it might be worth getting for my rig.

Not so much the catalytic coverter but the vacume lines, carb or throttle boddy can get cloogged when all the crap breaks loose. Most times its soft and slimy which will pass through. Larger hard pebbles might clogg off needle ports and vacume lines. That would be bad luck though right?

Hmmmmm, so it's a 50/50 chance of something going wrong. I might take that chance cause it might be nice to clean her out....not sure where to find some of the stuff....and how much is it?
