my 93 has been running hotter than it has before. the guage is only about halfway but it never used to run that hot. i put a low temp thermostat in it last summer and replaced it when it started getting hotter, no change. i flushed the cooling system and nothing nasty came out. it wasn't low before and the mix was 50/50. turning off the A/C only cools it down a little. what else could i look for?

Make sure the radiator is flowing & not plugged. If you have ever let it get really rusty in the past even if the coolant looks clean the the tubes could be plugged & not letting it flow. Which means it might need to be replaced or rodded out. Make sure the fan clutch is working & pulling enough air thru when its hot. Ck those first & beyond that there are other more complex things that will make it run hot, but these 2 are a couple of the basics. Good Luck!

a good way to check your fan clutch is to try and spin the fan with your hand. if it spins pretty freely, then chances are it is bad. also, check the fins on your radiator and make sure they are not plugged up(bugs, road grime, ect.) i drive a tow truck for a living and had that problem with it. if the fins are clogged up, then the fan clutch can't get enough hot air to it to know that the engine is hot. the easiest way to clean the outside of the radiator is to take it out and pressure wash it
