My 1992 Bronco has been sitting for like a year and I put some life/tires/wheels/exhaust/RV cam in it. and because of some computer deal for the cam now it has a rough idle. When i start it and leave it. it idles at around 1,450 RPM. then when i put it into gear it goes down to like 800... but thats okay in my book. the problem is. then i turn the steering wheel it idles downnnnnn to like 400 until it dies.

Any tips? just a tune up job? big problem?

Ok I would say you should look into a higher power power steering pump. Your big tires are over working the one you have now and it could be burnt out by now

ok thanks. anyways would that bog down a 351? it seems that if it were the pwr steer pump it would just turn slowly. or not to the full distance.

While going with the Saginaw advice given to you by SeaBronc is a good idea for those big tires. I agree with you that I question whether a properly running engine would bog down running a hydrolic pump. I would think not, but I don't have any experience with particularly large tires.

Your engine and idle is computer controlled, and I suspect that it is not running properly because regardless of the load on it, the computer should compensate and maintain your idle speed.

Check for diagnostic codes and see what you come up with.
