My 1993 4x4/auto 5.8 Bronco is having major issues with the acceleration and idle. During 40% of the time with acceleration it jerks the vehicle (and idle) up/down nonstop until it seems to hit another gear or randomly cool off about a minute to two later. Then this "hesitation" may or will start backup again and again throughout my drive time. In neutral it's very calm and quiet.. I'm not the most advanced with auto engine work, but to be fair I'm at a level of low intermediate knowledge. the radiator and belts are good and recently did oil change. I saw online many posts talking about replacing the IAC or MAP. Would this be the best solution/place to start? Or is spark plugs + fuel filter the best place to start? I don't have a code reader either, so I'm not sure how seriously that's really needed since it's a 20 year old vehicle. In true need for some intelligent knowledge to help guide me before spending my whole pay check and possibly not fixing the problem after all. I'm sure anyone can sympathize with that! Thanks in advance >- />/>
