Purchased my 1989 FSB new & other than minor fixes took it to the dealership up until about four years ago. Just replaced the water pump myself (timing gasket to) & am looking forward to maintaining the Bronco myself going forward. This is my everyday vehicle - plan on keeping it original as much as possible. Ten years ago modified the exhaust a bit & installed a K&N air filter = 3 mpg improvement.

Already read the write up on Performance chips? - thanks for that. Glad I didn't waste any money there.

This Bronco was my first (& so far only) new auto purchase. Would like to keep it forever. Maybe pick up an earlier model at some point, 78 thru 82.

Thanks

YO RICHIE,

WELCOME!

It is vg to hear that you bought it new and kept it on the road over the years.

My broncolinks.com is down right now, maybe permanently, but i have an archived copy @ http://web.archive.org/web/20130414140637/http://www.broncolinks.com/index.php

Many Links to DIY projects t6hat can save you BIG $ as compared what a dealership would charge.

btw, I get my Ford MOTORCRAFT parts via AMAZON; they are VG at delvy and esp pricing; I bought a $150.00 DPFE Sensor (not incl. sales tax) for $50.00 with free shipping and no state sales tax; same for the IAC sensor.

also Check our sponsor Jeff's Bronco Graveyard @ http://broncograveyard.com

Jeff at the Bronco Graveyard has offered a 2% discount to members of The BroncoZone for on line orders. To get your discount, enter the discount code BZMEMBER. Also you must include your BroncoZone User Name with the order.

Thanks guys, still learning my way around the site, forgot to watch my own thread

Discovered the automotive section on Amazon just this year - what a lot of $$ could have saved had found that earlier

Motocraft Serp belt for $35 on Amazon, the dealership charges more than twice that. Altho I've been buying Gates & Bando belts for a while but they don't seem to hold up like Motocraft.

Looking forward to participating on this great forum & putting to use resources like your archive - @ miesk5.

Last year I purchased a tailgate latch from the Bronco Graveyard - brand new & less $$ than the junk yard. Plus they sent one of those little plastic linkage clasps along with. Good thing to, because I had no idea where to find one of those.

Have a new bucket seat from The Graveyard in my cart right now, mine is about to wear out. Unless there's a better place to get one?

thanks again for having me :)>-
