if your on a tight time table, chances are its gonna take forever (thats been my luck at least). see if you can borrow someones car or snag a ride to work. that will free up some pressure. otherwise, buy alot of cutoff wheels and call a J/Y

Went and bought a 4 inch grinder today and removed outer side of the shackle (found it is bad as well). The top nut actually came off and that bolt almost moves free from the bushing. But have been pounding with a 5 lb. sledge and punch on the lower it wont budge from the bushing have soaked with PB blaster for going on 2 days now.

So basically am stuck at that point, cant get the bolts out of the shackle bushings. Can't cook them out as I am out of O 2 and cant get a new tank till after next weak

Only bright side is the shackle($12 from dealer)comes with the bushing pressed in and bracket ($40 from dealer) and both are in stock.

but if they don't come off the damn truck kinda hard to change them.

needed to move the truck to get my 88 out of garage so can make it to work that was a fun trick with a narrow driveway on 1/2 a shackle.
