so my buddy's jacked up jeep got totalled but he's still got the tires, which i was looking to get from him for my 89. they're 33x13.5 superswampers... really wide. i have no lift. i know there'll probably be some rubbing when turning. but we were attemping to put them on and the tires fit in niceley but the rims didnt fit on the front. we thought maybe it was because of the 4x4 auto hubs and maybe we just have to take the cap off and then put it back after putting on to get just the right size for them to fit on. but we didnt want to mess with that without really being sure of what we were doing. i believe they are rock crawler rims.. don't rembmer the exact size, but he said its like a universal size hole to fit on any car. anyone?

Jeep CJs should have the same 5 on 5 1/2 bolt pattern but it sounds like thay are already aftermarket wheels that likely have a common hub size. In any case if the wheels don't bolt up flat & secure to the hub even if they are free they are no deal

it was the center hole that was stopping it. the bolt pattern looked like it would fit if we had gotten it on that far.

the jeep is either a 2000 or 2001... im pretty sure 2000

yes, they are aftermarket rims with the 5 bolt pattern. we didnt actually try to put them on in the back. i wish we would have, maybe i'll arrange for that. do you think that they might fit on the back because the rear does not have the 4x4 thing on them (not that i'd just put two big tires on, but if they fit on the back they should probably somehow get on the front too?)

Any 5 bolt j**p wheel newer than 1987 has a 5 on 4.5" bolt pattern.

CJs had a 5 on 5.5" bolt pattern, same as a full size Ford.

Unless you have a Bronco II or Ranger, the wheels will not fit.

Thats WAY too wide for stock rims, I doubt any tire shop would even do that because they wouldnt want to be responsible.
