MY bronco rides really rough and its only an 86 im not quite sure what aproach to take. Do i need to get any better shocks or what? please help. Thanks.

Shocks is your 1st replacement,go with a good gas shock,If that doesn't help then your lookin at gettin new springs...If its saggy in the rear you might wanna do shocks and springs.

Check some of the 4x4 magazines alot of them have specials on 4 shocks...4 shocks shoul get between 150-200+ depending on what ya get.....cheaper if your just gonna go your basic gas shock.

Take a shock off up front if its stiff so you only have one per corner. Sounds like the suspension is fine if its stiff still. I went with a trailmaster suspension and shock on my 89 because its cheap and soft.

That may work if you have the quad shock front.

A new set of four or six offroad shocks like ProComp or Rancho will run $120-$150.

Stay away from Rancho 5000. Go with the 9000 adjustable so you can set the ride you like.
