Might as well remove the Condensor and Evaporator while you're at it. I'm not certain, so check with somebody else on this...but I think the A/C is completely seperate from the heater. I mean, the heater core is in a sealed box that the blower fan pushes air through...and it's got two hoses running into the firewall for that. The A/C lines also go into the firewall, but I haven't ever traced them from there. I'd ask Miesk5 or Seabronc. I'm curious to learn about this too!

the heater should still work as long as the blower motor is connected. BUt like the guy above, you should get rid of it all. You planning on camping out under your hood?? :))

when I did mine just to keep critters out I cut and brazed the lines shut by the firewall and removed every thing under the hood (gave me room for a bigger trans cooler and an oil cooler) now all I want to do with the A/C is replace the control unit in the dash with one that don't show A/C

so people stop trying to turn it on

It depends what you want to do...

If you want to put A/C back (in a LONG time, like, years) I would recommend removing the A/C Compressor, hoses, condensor and accumulator. If you dont want (take your dash apart), you dont have to remove the evaporator, just remove the hoses and seal up the hose ends with electrical tape to keep crap out and off the threads. Taking out the condensor with make lots of room for other coolers.

Also when storing the compressor, if it is still good, put some good light out in it before storing.

If you just want to remove it to play or winter (A/C works with defrost to prevent window fog in winter), go ahead and remove the easily accessible stuff (Compressor, hoses, maybe condensor) to put back in when you want (aka BLAZIN hot weather), but that would take a couple of hours and recharging equipment.

Yes, your heater will work fine w/o the a/c.

As for the pulleys, no. Doesn't your Bronc have a belt routing diagram w and w/o A/C?

All you need is a shorter belt.

ya i just want to take it out till i really need it . if it gets 2 hot i can just take the top off i was looking for the diagram with no a/c and i cant find it but i think that the altinator a and smog pump are in different locations i was looking at the belt and it seems like it would rub at the water pump and that might shread the belt so i allready got the a/c bypass pully so im just gonna throw it in. so i should just take out a/c stuff in the engine compartment and cap all the fittings. oh will my defrost still work or is it gonna be shot?

actually in the models that have a serp belt it uses the same belt only the compresor is replaced with an idler pulley

defrost works but not as well my A/C has been shot since I got the truck side windows and back side windows fog pretty good and on occasion part of my windshield but as a rule not to bad wish there was a way around that part because I personally hate A/C so never plan on it going back in how does a truck without A/C run for the defrost? (as in never had A/C)

All I know is, the heater works just fine as a defroster for me...once you get it going nice and hot. RainX makes a product you can wipe the inside of your windows with that acts as a defogger/preventer.

ist done and it was easy that a/c pully bypass fits like a glove dword of advice for anyone that buys it thou it dosent come with hardware so make sure you BUY 3 BOLTS TO MOUNT IT. i dont know what kind of horsepower boost it gives butit dose take off alot of drag on your engine. i tested it yesterday going to the beach when i raced a guy in his 57 chevy and smoked him but you know how those chevy guys are with there 350s haha. i know a bronco isnt a racer but i couldent help it has so much power and the surf sucked so i had to do somerthing
