I have a '96 4X4 Eddie Bauer and I need to replace both of my Rear Leaf Spring Hangers. The rear of the rear springs. Haynes manual doesn't show. Looks like they are riveted to the frame so how do I remove?

Please help. The shackle on the drivers side snapped clean off so I need to fix ASAP as it's not drivable.

Thanks,

John

Drill a hole through the center of each rivet, use a 7/16 bit and redrill the hole half way, then punch the rivet through with a hammer and punch.

How did you get the nuts on the backside of the new hanger? Gas tank is in the way.
