Well it's been awhile, coming close to a year.....anyways I've got to get the truck back on the road. Some of you might of heard of a junk yard called: Pull-A-Part. They have a hand full Ford full size truck and currently 2 Bronco's. The original rear end was the 9 inch, which is....gone. My question is: which rear end can a lot of power? I'm running 385HP and 375ftlbs, the old one went out because of no oil and lots of water oh and only driving one wheel. I'm thinking maybe a newer truck or a F-250 rear end would be able to handle a little better. I'm not concerned with matching up with the front end cause it's still unplugged.

For those of you who remember this bronc....its been sitting parked since the rear end blew out last year. Its been started a few times, still runs, cant move..lol..But the time has come to where it's required again.....

Thanks,

Justin

yo!

I'd go w/the Ford 10.25 if available and if I had $ for the wheels/tires to match-up w/the lugs and all that stuff.

Of course the 9" is tried and true and you can still use the wheels you have.

It's up to what you have avail.. $$$

GL!

I'll try and find the torque etc specs on each when I get home.

Thanks, I spoke with a Navy Chief on base today and said that the 9 inch could hold more than what my engine is producing. His example was on drag strips and mopars. I looked online last night after posting this and found specs on them but they were more on the install specs, i.e. widths of tires, tourqe specs on bolts.......I guess I'll stick with the 9 inch, and hopfully one of the trucks in the junk yard has one in good condition. They advertise the cost at about $90-110 for the entire rear end assy. But they have listed to Broncs there right now so i might get lucky. The next thing is the tranny, the Chief also said the c4 and 6 could hold it but I want a few more gears....looking at a 5 speed manual, but thats down the road......If you are able to find the specs let me know I would still like to see what they are rated for...

Thanks again
