Ok, first off, your welcome, it's not a wiring question. I have a the 8.8 ford rear end in my 94, it was leaking, looked like it was from the rear cover, so i pulled it,cleaned it up good, put an actual gasket in (their was only RTV holding the Oil in) put it back together. I even took the time to properly torque the bolts. I steamed it all off. I drove it about 30 miles, went out the next day and their was a few drips under it. Upon further inspection, it looks like it's coming from the passenger side where the axle tube goes into the main gear housing. Is their any fix for this? has anyone experianced it before?

(I would swap it with the 95 rear end, but it's Wisconsin, in the winter, -14 at my house this morning)

Either have the tubes welded with low-hydrogen rod (increases housing strength) or get inside and seal the tubes after some very good cleaning.

there are seals at the ends of the axle shafts, you have to remove your axle shaft from that side, pull out the old seal, and put in the new one. check to make sure its not coming from the yoke from the driveshaft, those are more prone to leak.

to get the axle shaft out you have to take the rear cover off again, take out what you have to and push the axle shaft in as far as you can and pull out the clip in the differential and the shaft will just slide out. might have to pull the spider gears out.

nononono, It's leaking where the main tubes that the axles go into meet the main carrier, I'm just going to swap it with my donor in the spring, but I was curious.
