It is a bit tricky to change out the gears in the Ford 8.8" rear axle that's under your Bronco, and the repair is usually best left to a professional shop or garage. You might want to remove the rear inspection cover/ plate and take a look for any broken pieces, like a gear toothe or bad bearings. A replacement rear axle should run you about $300-$400 at a salvage yard. But if you don't know the mileage on it, you may be walking again soon. JSM84

Thanks for the reply. I found a couple at salvage yards out of f-150 with around 80,000 miles on them for $250 to $300 will they fit my bronco? Or what info do i need to give them to get right rear end

As long as the f150 8.8 is 3.55 gears and has a ****** and not a yoke attached to the pinion, its a direct bolt in. Try and get on closest to your year as possible to avoid potential problems
