Rear Diff

My rear end is going out and I found a donar 9" without gears but has 31 spline axles. I can get it for $100 but I don't want to mess with re-gearing the front diff. I was wondering if someone knows what gear ratio a '94 Eddie Bauer 351W with the full tow package and the E4OD has?? Thanks to all!

should be like mine with the 3.55 ratio in the rear and 3.54 in the front :-B check the tag on the rear diff cover. keep in mind the E40D needs the speed sensor located in the stock 8.8 diff. to shift correctly and for your speedo to work.and of course your abs /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" /> u will need to adapt it into the 9" rear end @-) might be worth just repairing yours. or rebuilding. their is also a tag on the back side of the pass front axle should say the gear ratio on it clearer.

if your gears are still stock, just go to a junkyard and find an 8.8 rear with the same gearing. they are a dime a dozen, so it should be cheap. and headache free compared to modifying the 9"
