Howdy again y'all,

Well, after a couple of months sitting in my drive, rats decided to nest on the intake manifold and chew some wires. Unfortunately some of the wires connect to my fuel injectors. Now this wouldn't be that big a deal, except they chewed right up to the plug itself. So, since I don't know anything about the injectors...

Does the electrical connection on the injectors come off? Can the wires be replaced? If not, do I have to buy new injectors to fix the connection problem? Also, since they chewed back quite a ways (driver side close to coil) I might have to replace quite a bit of wire...perhaps a new harness. As I've never done that, can anyone tell me where to find new harness/wiring diagram, etc? I'd sure appreciate some help. Happy New Year to all!

No kidding this sucks. Just fyi, this is on my 87 with the 302EFI. Still can't figure out how to get the wires loose. I'll look at the tops again. Anyway, are replacement harnesses available?

i would just find the same gauge wire and splice it up (the right way) as far as the fuel injectors. you can tell better than us if they are going to come off. i can't imagine them not being able to come off to be replaced. that would mean replacing the whole assembly everytime a fuel injector went bad. that would make a whole lot of sense, but life rarely does. sorry boss.

i think prevenative maitance is the best way , the dollar store has rat traps on sell 4 for 1.00 , man the sux and your probably gonna have to replace all the injectors cause i dont think there is anyone who just sells so many out of a set and you probably are gonna have to get a whole new harness for the injectors 2 man , THOSE DIRTY RATS!!! poor Bronco ... goodluck summit would be a good place to try or you could actually call ford company and see if they would seel you some part might be pricey but youlll know your getting what you need splicing would get you but but your engine when it gets hot youll have to worry about it comming apart it better to go ahead and fix the problem head on.. like i said goodluck
