Is it really necessary to change the gear ratio? What if I change the ratios in the transmission instead?

No.., it's just with a powerful eng. & big tires, you put a strain on the rest of the drivetrain.

"RULE OF THUMB"

For every change you make..., it will req. 1-3 more changes.

It all depends what you do with this rig..? Hangar Queen, street cruiser, or down-n-dirty trail bang'n.

With my bronco, it is a trail rig but I also have to drive it to the trail. I was thinking about putting a zf transmission in it for the low first with an over drive 5th. I have 33's so should I still change to 411 gears or are the 350s good? I think I have to change my rear gears either way because my pinion I super loose.
