Howdy,

First of all hello to the group. The question I have concerns an F150 truck - similar to the Bronco as your aware.

What I have is a 1993 F150, 351W, 4WD, w/ac, QUAD SHOCK option (and might be heavy duty suspension), 133" WB.

There is a plow on it as well. The front springs are weak and I need to replace them. Yea right.... lol

NO ONE seems to offer a replacement spring for that combo truck. Variable or progressive rate would be nice and the way to go.

However niether can be foung from Moog, Husky, Federal, etc.

What's the story on this? I'm sure you guys have seen this before. I can't even find a heavy duty replacement worth considering

Thanks for your help!

We Manufacturer a wide range of Car and Truck Coil Springs

http://www.dendoff.com/resources/autocoilsprings.html

Measurement, Terms, pics & Bushings, One of the pictures in Spring Tech 101 is labeled incorrectly, The pigtail coil is correct. The square end coil should really be labeled tangential. The written description on the bottom of the page is correct.

Ask them same Q at http://www.eatonsprings.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=73

or;

"...Tech Question - Cannot Find Spring

Q - I can not find the springs I need on your web site. I thought you guys made springs for all kinds of cars and trucks. - Jerry, New York

A - Jerry, the one thing I can promise you is we will never have all the springs and spring parts we make on the web site. We estimate that we have least 166,000 stock applications alone. Then we can vary each stock application just about anyway you would like it, higher, lower, softer, firmer. So now we have an unlimited amount of data which needs to be compiled and put up on the web. Our people are working very hard and will put up the data as fast as they can.

So if you do not see what you need simply email, call, fax or write. - Mike" http://www.eatonsprings.com/contact.htm

Well, after talking to Husky Spring, here is what they said...

"Eric - Thanks for your inquiry regarding replacement coils for your F150 4x4. What we have done in the past with these vehicles is this: Replace your front coils with a heavy duty variable rate spring - part number SC824VHD - cost $ 160.43/pair plus freight. When doing so, you will probably have to leave one of the front shocks off - it will probably rub on the coil. This is why Moog and/or other vendors don't list coils for this application. The same was true for the full-size Bronco with the quad shock. You can order these coils directly from us our from Rock Auto. Let me know if you have more questions or how we can assist your further. Thanks, Lee"

I just ordered all for shocks last night too- lol

I will look into getting the variable rate springs and making a new mount for that forward shock. More projects!!

Thanks for the replies!!
