I have no problem pulling KOEO codes, get 111 and 332 (which I have been trying to clear) When I try to pull the KOER, I get no codes. Let me describe how I do it.... Get the truck hot, run it @ 2kRPM for 2 min. Then shut it off, go put the paperclip in, go back in the truck. Start it up, when it starts, it starts idling real high, then the light flashes a few times. Then I press and release the brake peddle, immediatley turn the steering wheel to the left 180 degrees and the back to where I started. Then I hit the O/D off switch, then press it again. Now I wait for the "goose light", never get it. So I will wait about 30 seconds after getting no codes and just call it quit. What am I doing wrong here guys?

Thank you so much for being so clear regarding the steps you have taken. I am not an expert, but have written a tutorial on pulling codes from what I have read. It appears that what I have written is a little more clear than some of the articles that I have read as reference sources, but I may have missed an important point.

It seems that you have followed my instructions perfectly.

It appears that a '95 does not have a "power steering pressure sensor."

Please try the test without turning the steering wheel.

None of the sources that I have read stated that one should NOT perform the power steering pressure sensor test if it does not exist, and since I have a '90 WITH a power steering pressure sensor, I could not determine if it made a difference.

Please let me know how you make out, so that I can improve on the tutorial if necessary.

Will do joe

OK, just braved the last bands of tropical depression fay. Took the EGR valve off, cleaned it, its moving fine, went to clean the tube that goes into the exhaust manifold, and wow!!! It's 2 pieces!!! what is suppose to seal the corregated pipe to the straight pipe? Anyhow, took a piece of 12g wire and worked down to the manifold, didnt feel like any clogs. Started the truck up(very loud) and a bunch of stuff blew out. Then I cleaned the hole in the intake manifold with some carb cleaner, put it back together, Will test it tomorrow by clearing the codes. (removing the paperclip during the test). Anyone put a muffler sealer around the egr piping where it connects together???

Thanks
