Me and my dad are planning on building a rock crawler that will be used mainly on trails like tellico. I have an 88 bronco that i was thinkin about using and was wonderin what u guys thought about it? planning on choping alot of body off and fabricating a roll cage. its not goin to look real good but i want it to perform and not have to worry about damage.

Nice choice.

If it were me I would bob and dove tail the rear.

You can remove part of the rear floor and fab some shock hoops for long travel

shocks.

A solid front axle swap is a must if you are going to go extreme.

It really depend on how much you wanna mod your rig, and the capabilities that you have to do so.

Good luck and keep us posted

Better get a sledge hammer and smash in the side panels. Isn't Tellico's trails a bit narrow for a full size? I've never been but thats what I heard. Other than that the 88 is a good off road rig.

yea i plan to do a lot of body trimming and a solid axle front. the trails are pretty narrow, but I can get my 76 through without damage and im not really worried about body damage in the crawler.
