found out yesterday that I ripped the passenger side mount in two and decided that the trans mount is shot as well so replaced all three but when I lowered the engine back down the passenger side will not line up have raised and pryed and cannot get it to line up its as if the frame warped durring the proccess and is driving me nuts tranny mount went in no prob. drivers side nothing major but the passenger side is screwy motor needs to go about 1/4 inch towards the out side and almost as much forward is it possible that when I did the tranny mount first and locked it down was not straight and now that there is a good mount in the driver front it cant sit the same so wont line up b-(

Yep... you got it. My bud did the same thing....I had him loosen things up & use a (small) bottle or sissors jack to push from the side (using the frame as a base. Take the weight off with a floor jack.

In some cases it's necessary to use a c-picker to lift the eng. & get it floating a slight bit.

A good rule of thumb is to never tighten anything down untill you get all nuts and bolts atlest partially threaded by hand. That not only helps alignment problems but also prevents cross threading.

Good luck,

well that was fun it was the trany mount not allowing it to move forward odd as I changed that one before I touched anything in front oh well truck rides nicer to less bumpy/bouneycould that have anything to do with the trans mount being 90% devoid of rubber or was it the passenger side mount that came out in 3 pieces anoyying thing is now have one **** of a vibration and when tried to put it into 4x4 sounded like when a tranny gets slamed into park while still moveing you know that erie slipping sound am thinking that the mounts have been bad for a long time and when I did them now the 4x shift is not set right anymore did have to re-adjust the tranny TV cable but its the vibration thats driving me nuts
