hey guys i just bought this 1990 ford bronco eddie bauer. it runs like a champ other then the fact that if im at a low idle while im in 3rd and overdrive i get a bad shaking but kinda like a lag studder like its bucking kinda. but it only does it in 3rd and over drive. but if im getting on it, it wont do it at all. and first and second are perfectly find weather im on it or not. any help would be appreciated. thanks.

See if the shudder will go away when you LIGHTLY touch the brake pedal, same as you would do to disable the crusie control. Then report back with your answer, JSM84

may be possibly be your torque converter. My 93 did the same thing, but it has the e4OD trans which apparently when first introduced was plagued by this problem. It feels like there is a miss in the engine. Other than replacing anything, try draining all the fluid from the pan and the converter and refilling it. i had to do this about every 8000 miles before it would start shuddering again. Ford never recalled this problem but did send out a TSB and recommend changing the tranny fluid annually to prevent this occurrence.
