Ok I have been having a time with my bronco. I put a new computer in it because old one burnt out. Now I am not getting spark. Was before.

I have replaced in last 2 weeks

battery

cap

rotor

ICM

EEC

FPR relay

EEC relay

Starter switch

Fusible links

some wiring

and a few odds and ends and now i am not getting spark

Got a computer out of a running truck mine was a J2A the new one is a Al2A which is supposed to be compatible. Distributor looks and feels tight and contact inside seems OK. I am suspecting coil which I will test tonight or in the morning. Any other ideas PLEASE help.

get a haynes manual run the diagnostics, and you probably could have saved like $400 in the last two weeks.

replacing parts is not diagnosing its blind guessing

I am throwing in the towel.

I really wanted to help you, but I am too frustrated.

I have been hand holding, but you do not seem to follow directions, nor explain your findings, and then you start another new thread on the same problem. This is the third.

Look back here, and you, or a friend, should be able to figure out your problem.

Good luck.

not same problem at all Joe the fuel issue was the computer and the relays after all. We had spark and it fired up and ran now no spark. coil tested good ICM was bad according to haynes. all relays and grounds work and intact. I have followed you advice to the T and very grateful. All wiring and fusible links are good.

According to the haynes it should be running except if the J2A and AL2A computers really aren't compatible

well obviously if it was working when you first plugged it in then its not the computer.

did you check for pip signal, or the internals of your distributor?

we need to know everything, ie your results and recorded numbers. to the T

otherwise we can't help you.
