When you did all that front end work, how are the tie rod ends? Drag link? Get someone under the front of your truck to watch and listen as you turn the steering wheel front lock to lock, better yet you look and they turn. If you are lifted, you might have some binding in the steering somewhere.

the boot on the left side is busted would that be making the poping sound? but then i would have to get it all lined up again right..

Yes that very well could be your problem, change both outers, the inner if you can. And look at the drag link. Change as much as you can afford. Better to do it all now rather than do another in a couple months and get it aligned again. The others may be fine but they are most likely all the same age, and another could fail at any time right? If you dont like changing parts before they break then changing the broken one would be fine but yes you need an alignment.

when mine was popping it was only on right hand turns over a bump. never did it just driving. pretty much the same deal as yours i guess. anyway had the ball joints replaced (so did you). but, had the tie rods and ends and link replaced- that was what was causing the popping. no more popping. anyway i just had them rebuild the whole front end before the lift, then the alignment. while you're in there you may want to replace anything else too and just be done with it. for a while at least.
