Any suggestions or specific technique on how to replace? Another question, the fuel pump was replaced 1yr ago..I am not used to a large truck but does the fuel pump tend to make a noise when running...a humming sound, high pitch sound? Working fine, knock on wood...Have receipt and plan on running by the mechanic who put it in..

The electric fuel pump ca nbe rather loud, but should last a few more years at least. It's when it quits making noise that's when I start to worry. Ck the wiring where it enters the tailgate on the driver's side, it often get's pinched there. If you have a test meter, you can ck for power at the key switch and after it to tell if it's bad. Good luck!!!
