My apologies if there is a thread started on this...but after going through 60 pages, I couldn't find one.

I have a 1993 EB 351V8 AT and was wondering if anyone has used or is using a performance chip? If so, what do you recommend and what thermostat (160 vs. 170 vs. 180) would you recommend. Also, does a cold air intake improve the performance enough to justify the cost on the Bronco with a 351?

Any help or advice is appreciated.

thermostat doesn nothing for performance, if you drive it in snow then 180 or 190 for the heater in the cold weather, if you live where it never gets below freezing then lower is better, there have been some threads on "cold" air intakes and the general consensus is they just draw in hot air from under the hood. in that regard you are better off getting a high flow intake.

another point is do a tune up, you'd be surprised how much that gets neglected and how important it is.
