I have an 88 Bronco XLT 351w and i have been told i need to change my PCV valve but i have no idea where it is located im pretty new to changing parts on my truck but I am trying to learn so if somone could just point me in the right direction i would appriciate it Thanks

hey jbronco,

the pvc is on one of the valve covers. it might be best being that your new to repair is to buy a repair manual. it will help you a lot. you can get them at your local parts house. Haynes or Chilton manuals will cover any repair plus trouble shooting.

JBronco, the Positive Crank Ventilation valve is located in one of the valve covers it is attached to a hose that is connected to the vacuum created in the intake manifold. When replacing the PCV valve make sure you also install the new rubber grommet that should come with it and check the hose for blockage. Have fun.

On your '88 it is in the passengers side valve cover in the rear, behind the upper intake manifold, and can be difficult to remove / install.
