I have that Painless wiring harness going in sunday.I have never rewired anything in my life.Anyone" been there done that",and have some pointers that I NEED to know before starting?Donn

Hey Rusty,

Best advice, lay out the harness on a table or something suitable, and identify everything. That way your are sure you have what you want to plug in or attach where you want it. Also take pics of the old wiring befor you take it all out.....plenty of pics.

I put a Centec wiring harness in my 69 Bronco last year and it is a giant PIA! If I were you, after getting it all laid out and labeled, I would take the dash out so you can get it all cleaned up and wired right, then pull the other harness pieces through the holes in the firewall and seal them, then just start connecting one thing at a time. I had to fix a few grounding errors in the harness, but all in all it worked out fine; it's just a lot of work to get it done right.
