I thought that I would start a new thread about the console install as most of my questions are answered and it's in.

Here is what I started with;

Tan for sure. Got it off of Ebay for $50.00

It was pretty easy to take it apart. I think it was six or seven screws. Went to NAPA and got some interior paint. That was sorta of expensive at $22.00

Then it was blue:

Next up was the wiring. My wifes patience for sure helped me out. Basically I found the harness behind the emergency brake, and by a process of elimintation and testing we pretty much figured it out. Well mostly>

Then I wired up the console. I did not end up with these connections as they are too big for the 20ga wiring. I ended up cutting them and the harness off of the console and directly wiring it. Since I did not have a mounting plate, I just screwed it into the inner panel with a few sheet metal screws.

Here it is with the headliner back in, and the new connectors.

And here is the finished product. Looks great, but I need the temp sensor and I need to disconnect the reverse wire for the mirror as it cuts the power when I put it in reverse.
