This might seem like an odd question but I cannot find the information anywhere so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it, now the problem: I have a 1968 Bronco and I am trying to find out the oil capacity, normally you check the dipstick but it looks like someone has moved it. The oil pan part number is C6TE-6675G, Block casting numberC8AE-6015B. When I look up the required amount it says either 5 or 7 quarts. On the passenger side oil pan one of the previous owners has sealed off where the original dipstick was and relocated it to the front, and it looks like someone cut it off to make it fit. I measured it and it goes almost all the way to the bottom of the front pan and after 5 quarts it still doesnt register on the dipstick. Anyone have any idea what the capacity should be? Thanks again for whatever help you can provide.

You're welcome..,

FYI.., FWIW..., the newer, aftermarket timing chain covers come with a dipstick hole in it. Normally, folks plug it up.

Also.., the orig. dipstick receiver in the pan-side...., they get a bit tired over the yrs., & leak.

Simple fix is., get it clean & dry with carb. cleaner spray & a brush, etc.

Then simply apply a good coating of the black gorilla-snot (RTV)

(If/when the pan is off.., you can re-build the seal at that point.)
