Oil pan gaset instalation

:blink: well i did my oil pan gasket and i found that if you get the single piece gasket from fel-pro you dont have to pull the engine , you get the little screws that you ***** in the half inch ***** holes tat allows you to slide the gasket on and then the oil pan before you ***** it in... then it is ALOT easier to get all of the other screws started , then when your done startein the other screws you can take the little screws you put in the half inch holes out... and there it is new oil pan gasket..

I love those type of gaskets it makes it alot easier.I replaced the oilpan gasket on one of my girlfriends cutlasses awhile back using that type of onepiece gasket with the holding screws.The only type I would use especially where it is hard to access.

i got a one piece from napa, didnt have any little screws with it, but it went in ALOT easier than i ever imagined. i had a harder time keeping the water pump bolts straight. all those different sizes.
