I am also having some trouble with the engine surging at idle, and sputtering sometimes between shifts. My fuel gauge still doesn't work, and the sputtering only seems to happen when I get within 30 miles of my fillup time. The surging is completely random.

When you open your gas cap, do you hear air rushing in? You may be getting fuel starvation because the tank is not venting properly. It should be getting air to replace the fuel that is being sucked out. If it isn't, then it will be hard for the fuel pump to pull gas out which equals not enough flow.

Good luck,

:)>-
