not starting

I'v had the vale cover gasket changed on my truck in the person set the timing rong :angry: i fixed the timing now it wont start at all what do i do??? i have a 1990 bronco 5.0 i set the timing to 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 in just 2 b sure if i was putting num 1 in the rite place i rasied num 1 piston up what do i do now? :( /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

You can also set it by rotating the crank till you get clost to the TDC mark and make sure that the rotor is pointing to the number 1 position. That should get you in the ball park and then you can do the initial timing procedure.
