Ok so I found my heat problem. Apparently someone kinked off the heater hose down by the altenator where it comes off the water pump. It appears they did this because it was leaking. After moving the clamp to where it is supposed to go there is no problem except the line is still kinked. It looks as tho they rerouted it to where it is to get the kink in it. Only problem is I don't know where it is supposed to go where there would be no kink in it. Every which way I try to route it something is in the way. It almost looks as tho it's the wrong line or wrong water pump. Does anybody have a good schematic of how the heater hoses are supposed to be routed? I have found some online but they are bad pics or very vague. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks a ton. I can already see from that they have the wrong heater hose on it. Looks like a trip to the parts store today will have me warming up by the morning. Thanks again for the help.

Hi Bronc.,

I moved your post to 80-96 tech. support. :D/

I might add... it may help to do a homemade press. test on your heater core B/4

hooking up new hoses. Meaning if there's a leak in the core you'll have a mess in the cab. :((

That could be the reason PO blocked it off.

Of course, a bad hose would be the easier fix.

Good thinking. Thanks for the heads up there. I did get a good look at it the other day when I had the dash apart to check the blend door. That added to my surprise when I saw it looked fairly new. However pressure check done and heater hose hooked up and in place and so far everything looks to be in order(knock on wood). Thanks for all the help guys my heat is working beautifully so far. Now back to the tech page. LOL. I LOVE THIS PAGE!!!
