My Bronco is telling me it needs new shocks. Any suggestions? I'm not interested in a lift, but would like to hear what brands are good and price range I am looking at.

Thanks for the help!!

I just called Autozone and they told me about them. I was wondering about the quality for such a good price.

Thanks for the info!

I just replaced shocks on my 95 with quad susp. last month. Bought Monroe Gas-Matics at Advance Auto parts for 145 for all 6. I'm happy with the way they ride.

Chime! Chime! Thanks, Bluesman17!!! USCDiver, there are a few detailed posts on shock brands if you do a search. I agree that the Pro Comp ES 3000 or ES9000 series shocks are good for the Bronco. IMHO, the Monroe Magnums are junk. All 6 were broken on my 84 Bronco when I bought it. They were less than 3 years old. Not from my driving, but the previous owner, who pampered the Bronco (unlike me).

I have been a devout fan of the Rancho 5000's for many, many years and have never broken one. I have the Skyjacker Hydros that came with the lift kit now, only because I could not get RS5000's for a 6" lift. THey still work after 3 years, but look really bad. Looking at the new SkyJ Platinum shocks for an upgrade, unless I swap axles for some Rockwells this winter. :D /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

Thanks for all the responses! I appreciate it. I just ordered Pro Comp ES9000's and can't wait to put them on and see how they ride. Got them at 4wheeler.com for about $185 for all 6 shocks.
