ok, 2 new problems to add to the list

1) when ever it rains my driver side carpet is wet under the floor-mat, no water on the mat. I think it is coming in through the door somewhere. Could bad window moldings be causing this? Cuz I need some new ones. other than that I have no idea where it could be leaking.

2) Sometimes when I brake the ABS engages and the light comes on. If I continue to drive it usually does not happen again. If I restart the engine the light goes off and it usually continues to drive ok. It scares me to death though when I try to stop and I continue moving forward with the ABS going off, especially when It happens at a stop light. This happens on totally dry pavement. Need to figure this one out pretty bad.

thanks all.

ABS:

I'm not sure what could be causing this problem, I guess I would start with checking wires for corrosion, sensors for rust etc. ect....

Wet carpeting:

Anything is possible but I would start with looking under the carpet to see it your floor is rotted. I have a pic in My Gallery under "rusty" of mine that might help you out. (I just fixed my floor yesterday)

I have the same problem but not as bad with the ABS. When i start the truck it comes on for quite a while then goes off the just randomly comes on. But i just use the e-brake if this happens.

The light could indicate the shuttle in the ABS valve is just off-center, and continued driving sometimes gets it back where it should be. This could be caused from changing brake pads/shoes and not doing a bleed process afterwards. Try bleeding the air from all the brake lines. Keep the master cylinder topped-off during this process to keep air from re-entering the lines from above.
