Evenin everyone... i was hoping someone could tell me how to bypass the neutral switch on my -89 with some OD gearbox. There are 4 cables attached to the switch which is this little plug directly on the box.

I wanna know how to bypass it since it wont start in any gear other than jumping the solenoid, and I thought it may be the cause.

to bypass it just look on the drivers side of the engine compartment for a green wiring harness with 8 wires on it. pull it apart and jump the two blue wires with red stripes. dont worry about the other wires they are just for reverse lights and 4x4 lights. hope this helps...

If you jumper it, fix the problem and then remove the jumper. It is there to keep you from accidently starting the engine while in gear, thus it's name "Neutral Safety Switch".

Good luck,

:)>-
