hey there yall

im new to this forum but not new to trucks and broncos

i myself have a 1966 ford bronco and a 1989 ranger,my cars are a 1968 chevy belair,and a 1971 custom built dune buggy(volkswagen)

right not i am in the middle of tearing the bronco down so i can build it back up, my body was so rusted tht all i had to do was cut the rocker panels and the hole back half of the truck came off,so i did

now i have easy acess to by third cross member for the body which was totally rotten and i also have access to my frame rails which were starting to rot out

for the mechanical part of it,it has the 170 cu straight six,and the three on the tree tranny and the dana 20 t-case and im not sure on the axles

the motor has either 140,000 or 240,000 miles we think, its hard to tell cause we dont kno the past of the truck and u cant tell how many times the mileage has turned

what we do kno is tht the guy who had owned it used to logg woods and had a wooden dumpbed on the thing,(we got rid of tht right away, youll see why)

alright nough of me talking here are some pics

Your front axle is a dana 30 and you have a ford small bearing 9 inch in the rear. You more than likely have 4.10 or 4.56 gears and maybe a factory limited slip in the rear. the 170 makes 105 hp and 156 ft. lbs of tq( i believe). By your name that youve choosen, I'm assuming a small blocks taking place of the six. either way welcome aboard!

Just food for thought; You can always turbo your inline and make alot of tq. It's gaining alot of popularity right now, I'm currently gathering parts for my turbo setup.
