Hey guys,

I just found the forum and I need your help. I have a 1991 Ford Bronco and the 351W motor is DEAD. No Compression in 2 cylinders.

My neighbor has a rebuilt 351 carbureted motor from his rolled 1985 bronco he will sell me for $$Cheap. Can I use the 1985 block and heads and bolt on my 1991 fuel injected manifold and exhaust manifolds?

Are the 1985 and 1991 blocks and heads the same?

Thanks Guys

LaDSM, welcome to Bronco Zone!!! I replied to your post at FTE, too. You can use the block and heads, but will need to change the cam and valve train. Either that or convert to a carburetor-system. Perhaps some other engine gurus will provide more detailed info on the swap. or you try a search.

your exhaust manifolds will fit...but why not just get shirty hedders at least, they will bolt right to the rest of your stock exhaust, and im not 100% sure if all the brackets from a 91 will bolt to the heads of an 85, they should, but the bolt holes might be different, so check that out, other then that you shouldnt have too much trouble besides the cam swap, if you wanna go redneck just dump the old cam from ur 351 into the new one if possible....good luck
