moaning sound

when i am going down the road i get this moaning sound it only does it when i hit the gas and i dont know if its my driveshaft , i just replaced the axel bearings on the right side and i just spent 1000.00 dollars on my front end to get completely rebuilt !! so i dont know where it comes from??? any ideas would help

I would guess rear end as well. Mine started to whine a while before it finally went to ****. It almost sounded like the t-case or tranny but it was just the sound running up the drive shaft. If you get a junkyard axel then it's only like a 4hr job getting the old one out and putting the other one in if that.

sounds like your rear gears are starting to eat themselves. pull the rear cover and check for damage, metal shavings/particles, and otherwise large chunks of metal. also check the pinion for bearing slop, that could be on its way out also

Take it apart and look at the rear end.

it was the drive shaft got the joints in it fixed and it stopped... thanks you guys
