when my drivers side door started opening and closing hard I should have worryied but when I was trying to go to work this morning and it wouldn't open more than about 8 inches I got ****** and went in from the other side after work I was going to try and align the door as I was in a hurry when I put it on but when I was prying it neer the bottom to open it I found that the bottom of my "A" piller/door post was cracked almost all the way and when I pryed the door was actually making it flex at the "A" piller any one know if this area can be patched or am I screwed??

it sounds like rust from the inside out???? If that is the case the hinge pillar can be sectioned in... Pretty big job; but can be done... Use an LKQ piece from a junk yard.

If it is just worn out you may be able to weld a reinforcement plate on the inside, but you will most likely need to cut an access hole. again, body work knowledge is suggested.....

you should be able to remove the fender and door and then weld in reinforcements. youll have to cut acess holes but you can simpley keep the pieces you cut out and weld them back in. not a really easy job but youll never see it once the body is back on so it dosent have to look perfect.
