mechanical look fors

like i said, im lookin to buy my first truck and im pretty sure its gonna be a bronco. im lookin for what kind of mechanical problems to look out for. heard that 100,000 miles and up that the transfercase makes a clunk. other than that, i havent heard to bad.

Mine doesn't clunk. Check out the rust, the body can be dealt with but if the frame is seriously rusted that could be a problem.

I don't know the actual milage, but well over 100,000.

might not be the transfer case. could be the transmission mount, loose driveshaft spline or u-joint, or play in the rear end. they are trucks and all trucks make noises at one point or another it's how they are /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />

i also love to get under the hood or underneath the truck. it is always fun to work on vehicles. no matter how hard the task, its always a cool experience.
