Well yall, I have another question. I am doing a ground up restore. We have already rebuild the 302. The '75 of cousre has the electronic ignition.

I THINK that I want to replace the electronic ignition, pointless dist and computer module with a Mallory distritbutor and coil. If I'm not mistaken, it is a simple conversion, isn't it? But what about the wiring that runs to the module?

And, I will be replacing my wiring harness with the Centrec harness. It too will have the wiring for the computor and pointless ignition. How do I get around that.

What are the unseen problems.

Thanks a bunch

Hi Kirk.,

Either would work fine.

The pointless dizzy is fine, unless it's damaged. The module works or it doesn't but easy to replace.

Mallory works great as well..., I've used several.

All you need is dizzy., coil., & volt. drop/ballist resistor.

The harness instructions should have directions for both., if not call them or the supplier & they will be glad to walk you thru it.

You can also up-grade the module to an MSD if the electronic setup scares you.

"What are the unseen problems"

The cam/dizzy gears need to match. i.e. cast & steel can't be mixed & matched.

If you didn't put in a wild cam.., should be OK.
