Im using a 1982 bronco with 302/c6 4x4/front ifs and 9" for my camper van project. Is there anything on the chassis that was not designed well.

What I mean, is that sometimes manufactures will try things to see how they work, then need to change the problem down the road. I.E. to small of bearing or something like that.

The bronce design seems to have stayed very simular from the late 70's on. <_<

The main thing I can think of is to check the front crossmember where it connects to the frame for cracks or loose bolts. You may also have some rust areas on the brackets for the radius rms and rear leaf springs or worn bushings that can wallow those out.

The 80-81 rear framerail sections had the "swisscheese" holes in them, but I believe that was changed in 1982. The holes may have been put there to reduce weight, not sure what the engineers were thinking on that goof.
