Looking for c6 transmission

I currently have a 1983 with a 302 CI and a C5 tranny, I want to change over toa 390 and a C6 tranny but am having trouble locating a deacent used one, any ideas?

if your getting a 390 then you have to get a trans with the bolt pattern to match up to the FE block, youll need to find one out of a 70's f250 or 350 4x4 otherwise youll have to have the output shaft changed.

also you're 302 would either have the c6 with the small block pattern or a c4
