I've heard of putting racks on for luggage. I believe the front rail was attached to the cab and the rear one to the cap but required some reinforcement since the cap is only fiberglass and not that strong.

Good luck,

:)>-

yea i mean like to carry ladders. not lumber. just a couple ladders. i'm thinking about starting a biz that would need a few ladders but i'd hate to have to buy another truck for it. i'm thinking i can find some that would fit on the gutters of the front but as seabronc said the back is just fiberglass so i'm not sure what my options are. i've seen a guy rig something up with some pvc pipe but it just looked terrible.

I saw one from a little bit of a distance, it looked like he had brackets bolted or screwed to the top of the fenders in the back. I guess one could run some kind of a bracket out under the cap.

I saw a rack before that mounts to the canopy mounts on the box sides and the canopy slides inside it. Does that make sense? I will look around for the picture

I read a forum about how he made a rack thats not bolted to the top...

here is the post shortcut: http://broncozone.com/forums/index.php?act...t&pid=46770
Does Dave still make these racks? I might not have to buy another truck if these racks can support a decent amount of weight. I put most of my lumber on the work trailer anyway but it would be nice to have the racks instead of carrying the trailer all the time. Dave if your reading this how much are they for a 92-96?
