Hey everyone , I have a 88 Bronco with about 30,000 on rebuilt motor and trans auto. Here lately when I am pulling a hill it seems that I am lacking the power to climb and the speed drops, motor is a 4.9L K&N air filter is the only add-on. other than the lack of power it runs fine , no misfire, hesitation. any idea's ?????

thanks Sam

have you checked timing or changed fuel filter?
Yeah I have checked the timing is dead on and fuel filter was replaced last fall , along with the o2 sensor. I was wondering if it could be the the cat. getting plugged up.

if theres no misfire or hesitation, it could be the cat, i never thought about that. is there a way to unbolt it from exhaust to see if thats the problem or not?

ahhhh, who needs a cat. just cut it off and put a peice of straight pipe in there. it will sound alot loder. then you can take it to your local scrap yard and it will pay for the peice of pipe and more! ;) /emoticons/[email protected] 2x" width="20" height="20" />
