Is a factory torque converter good enough?

I recently bought a mostly rebuilt '80 bronco without a engine and i have a mostly stock '71 429 sitting around i planned on putting in it. (Engine has aluminum intake, 4 barrel carb and ported d0ve-c heads) My shop manual for 80s broncos says the c6 transmission is supposed to have a torque converter with a minimum stall speed of 1448 and a maximum stall speed of 1720. Would this still be acceptable with the bigger engine or should i go with something different? if so what should i get?
